Job Description
Oilserv Limited is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Project Controls Engineer to lead planning and scheduling functions across complex engineering and construction projects. The role requires strong leadership capability, technical expertise in project controls systems, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to Planning and Scheduling Engineers, assigning priorities in collaboration with the Project Controls Manager
- Develop, prepare, and maintain master critical path schedules and time-scaled project plans
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop detailed resource-loaded schedules covering materials, equipment, installation, testing, and support facilities
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and prepare detailed progress and performance reports
- Conduct manpower loading analysis and performance evaluations to support project delivery timelines
- Coordinate schedule updates with office and field project teams
- Review material status reports and align them with construction schedules in collaboration with Contracts and Construction teams
- Prepare interface management programs, status presentations, and regulatory submissions
- Support project status reviews and performance control initiatives
- Promote and participate in QHSSE and ESG programs, including daily, weekly, and monthly compliance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling within engineering and construction projects
- Extensive working knowledge of Primavera P3 or P6
- Strong experience in critical path method scheduling and resource loading
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, PMI-PSP, or equivalent will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
