Job Description
Location: Niger (Remote)
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Agricultural Field Specialist to lead farming operations, out-grower programs, and extension activities within the middle belt region. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in agricultural practices, sustainable farming solutions, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of farming operations, including crop production and management.
- Design and implement sustainable smallholder out-grower schemes tailored to local needs.
- Provide technical support and training to farmers to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and community impact.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, providing timely recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Crop Production, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, or related fields.
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 5–10 years of field experience in farming operations, out-grower programs, or extension activities.
- Proven expertise in sustainable smallholder out-grower schemes in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to speak local languages within the middle belt region is an added advantage.
