Job Description

A detail-oriented and experienced Accountant is needed to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and preparing financial statements. If you have a strong background in accounting, tax administration, and financial reporting, especially within the service industry, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax administration for the company.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making.
  • Manage reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE, or similar) for efficient financial management.

Requirements

  • HND/BSC in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN are required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax administration, preferably in the service industry.
  • Experience preparing financial statements for a Microfinance Bank in Nigeria is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
