About the Role
Africa Farming Innovations (AFI) is seeking a skilled Communications Officer to enhance her outreach efforts, manage communication strategies, and promote our initiatives in the agricultural sector. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in project management support and strategic communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to support AFI’s mission.
- Create engaging content for press releases, reports, newsletters, and digital platforms.
- Coordinate media relations and public engagement activities to increase AFI’s visibility.
- Support project teams by managing communication aspects of various agricultural programs.
- Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics to improve outreach efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in project management support and communications.
- Strong adaptability and ability to handle changing priorities and crises professionally.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management, public relations, and stakeholder engagement is a plus.
