Analytical Chemist
Job Description
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in analytical chemistry (preferably in veterinary or pharmaceutical industries)
Obasanjo Farms is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our quality control team in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in performing chemical analyses, ensuring product quality, and supporting research and development activities within the veterinary or pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
- Interpret data, compile test reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards and laboratory safety procedures.
- Support R&D projects by providing analytical insights and assisting in method development and validation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably within the veterinary or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in operating analytical instruments, particularly Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) and Spectrophotometers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and industry regulations.
