About the Role
A USAID-funded initiative, Transforming Health and Resilience for Individuals Through Vibrant Empowerment (THRIVE) South, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Program Officer. This role supports the implementation of care and support services for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) across five states in Southern Nigeria, including Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, and Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of OVC program activities in line with PEPFAR guidelines.
- Support capacity development for community-based organizations (CBOs) and ensure alignment with project goals and national standards.
- Monitor programmatic performance, ensure timely reporting, and support work plan development and execution.
- Facilitate linkages and collaboration among CBOs, state/LGA structures, and government stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- A degree in Social or Behavioral Science, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health program management, with at least 3 years in HIV/AIDS care, treatment, and support.
- Strong knowledge of PEPFAR guidelines and OVC programming.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and monitoring & evaluation tools such as NOMIS.
