About the Role
Optimus Bank Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional for the position of Audit & Investigation Officer. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in auditing key Head Office units and a clear understanding of risk management, process efficiency, and compliance standards. This role plays a key part in identifying, investigating, and reporting on risk and control weaknesses across the bank’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of the Annual Audit Plan using a risk-based approach.
- Perform audits across Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Risk Management departments.
- Execute fraud investigations and document findings clearly and accurately.
- Report emerging trends, control gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure timely completion of audit reports and working papers from planning to reporting stages.
- Support continuous improvement of audit quality standards and project implementation.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of banking experience, particularly in auditing Head Office units (Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury, Risk Management).
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control systems.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
