About the Role
Optimus Bank Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional for the position of Audit & Investigation Officer. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in auditing key Head Office units and a clear understanding of risk management, process efficiency, and compliance standards. This role plays a key part in identifying, investigating, and reporting on risk and control weaknesses across the bank’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the Annual Audit Plan using a risk-based approach.
  • Perform audits across Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Risk Management departments.
  • Execute fraud investigations and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Report emerging trends, control gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely completion of audit reports and working papers from planning to reporting stages.
  • Support continuous improvement of audit quality standards and project implementation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of banking experience, particularly in auditing Head Office units (Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury, Risk Management).
  • Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
