About the Role:
Payhippo is seeking a Junior Solar Engineer to support its renewable energy operations in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting technical assessments, engaging with clients, and ensuring optimal system performance for solar installations. This position is ideal for someone with technical expertise in solar systems and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate solar energy systems to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct on-site technical assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Monitor system performance post-installation and suggest improvements as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar engineering, with hands-on involvement in customer engagement and system evaluations.
- Previous experience as a Solar Installer is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in solar design software and tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
