Short Description:
A technology consulting firm is hiring a Senior Data Analyst (Consultant) for a remote, contract-based role. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with advanced Excel expertise and a solid background in interpreting and documenting complex data models. The selected candidate will support internal teams by analyzing existing Excel-based models and developing clear, user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret complex Excel-based data models for logic, structure, and functionality.
  • Create clear and comprehensive user manuals and step-by-step guides to explain the use of the models.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand model objectives and business context.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance model usability, structure, or documentation quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analysis with demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to reverse-engineer and interpret advanced Excel models.
  • Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with financial forecasting or operational modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience writing standard operating procedures or user manuals.
