Introduction
Baobab Microfinance Bank, a reputable financial institution focused on supporting small businesses and individuals, is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Treasury Officer (STO) to join its team in Yaba, Lagos. The role is critical for managing and enhancing treasury operations within a regulated microfinance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily treasury operations, including liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and investment activities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls related to treasury functions.
- Coordinate the external audit of treasury activities, particularly with top-tier audit firms such as PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, or EY.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the bank’s financial performance and risk management related to treasury activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive treasury initiatives and provide expert financial insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of a good First Degree and a postgraduate qualification (MBA or MSc).
- Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is mandatory.
- At least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience in treasury operations within a national microfinance or commercial bank.
- Proven experience working with top 4 audit firms for treasury audits.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
