About the Role
An established organization in Benin City, Edo State, is currently hiring a Head of Human Resources / Administration to oversee and optimize all HR functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping company culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring full compliance with labor regulations. This position is ideal for a proactive and disciplined leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and continuous employee development programs.
- Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation plans in line with industry standards.
- Develop and implement effective employee retention strategies and performance management systems.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, workplace policies, and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in human resources and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Professional certification or active membership in a recognized HR body is an added advantage.
- Ability to monitor and improve HR KPIs, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
