A leading finance firm in Lagos is seeking a diligent and motivated Tax Associate Coordinator (Intern) to support its tax and finance operations. This internship provides valuable exposure to tax preparation, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. It is ideal for candidates interested in gaining practical experience in corporate tax under the guidance of experienced Chartered Accountants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and filing VAT, income tax, and withholding tax returns.
- Support the tax team in collecting and analyzing financial data for reporting.
- Help ensure compliance with tax regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for audits and reviews.
- Participate in preparing reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants when required.
- Stay informed about evolving tax laws and relevant compliance updates.
- Contribute to finance-related projects as assigned.
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong academic background in taxation, accounting, or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
