Job Description
An established audit firm based in Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Audit Senior to support its growing client portfolio. The ideal candidate will lead and manage audit assignments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and adding value through risk assessments and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute external audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Conduct risk assessments and perform substantive testing to identify potential financial discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Prepare and review comprehensive audit reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Work closely with audit teams to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in external audit and assurance.
- Proficiency in audit software such as CaseWare, IDEA, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and audit best practices.
