Job Description

A fast-growing super app platform operating across Africa and parts of Europe is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to support its cloud infrastructure. The role offers the chance to work with advanced technologies in a multicultural team and help shape digital services for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based systems using Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
  • Enhance CI/CD workflows and automate infrastructure processes for higher operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
  • Support engineering teams with infrastructure needs and respond to incidents effectively
  • Improve system monitoring, deployment reliability, and documentation to ensure best practices across teams

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or similar cloud infrastructure role
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or TypeScript)
  • Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
  • Proven use of IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK for Terraform
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
