Job Description
Konga Online Shopping Limited is currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join its team in Lagos. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring workplace safety, enforcing health standards, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies in compliance with local regulations and international standards
- Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Organize and deliver training programs for staff on occupational health and safety practices
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and ensure preventive measures are taken
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of safety activities and compliance reports
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc in any Science or Social Science-related discipline
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC 1 and 2, First Aid, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a health and safety role
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety legislation and best practices
