Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu and a global leader in open source solutions, is hiring a Strategic Account Executive to drive enterprise sales growth in Nigeria. This role requires an experienced sales professional with a deep understanding of open-source technologies and enterprise software, capable of engaging high-level decision makers and driving strategic deals across key industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Canonical and promote its enterprise solutions within the assigned territory
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to build a strong sales pipeline
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, industry events, and partnerships
- Close high-value contracts and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
- Maintain accurate sales data in Salesforce and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in enterprise software sales and meeting aggressive sales targets
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and their commercial applications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and company events
