Job Description
An Edtech-focused innovation hub in Lagos is seeking a Community Associate to lead and grow dynamic communities of practice within its Education Practice. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator with experience managing both virtual and physical communities, especially in the education, digital literacy, and social innovation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage online and offline communities to support educational and Edtech initiatives.
- Design and execute engagement strategies that encourage long-term participation and peer-led discussions.
- Monitor and report on key community metrics, using insights to shape content and engagement strategies.
- Coordinate events and storytelling efforts that highlight the achievements and impact of the community.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community efforts align with broader program goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in community management, preferably in education or social impact.
- Solid knowledge of the African Edtech space and current trends in digital learning.
- Ability to convert abstract concepts like theory of change into meaningful community programs.
- Proficiency in using digital platforms to animate, grow, and retain communities.
- Strong communication skills, with experience crafting impact-driven stories, profiles, and reports.
