Short Description:
Dangote Cement Plc is hiring an Internal Control Officer to support the identification and mitigation of control weaknesses, ensure compliance with company policies, and help safeguard organizational assets. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, auditing, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Review payment documents and ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements
- Assess internal control systems and recommend improvements where necessary
- Evaluate and analyze payroll reviews, cash call requests, and payment vouchers in collaboration with relevant departments
- Monitor and report on compliance issues, highlighting potential risks and suggesting control measures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Up to 9 years of relevant work experience, with at least 8 years required
- ACA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certifications are an added advantage
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Solid understanding of internal control and audit principles
