Job Description
Dangote Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Harvest Manager to oversee cane harvesting operations at the DSR Numan site. This role involves coordinating both manual and mechanical harvesting processes to ensure optimal cane supply to the factory. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience and a solid understanding of agricultural operations, machinery management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily harvesting operations (manual and mechanical)
- Monitor cost control measures to ensure budget efficiency
- Ensure a consistent supply of high-quality cane to the factory
- Supervise the performance of harvesting equipment, workshops, and related operations
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline workflow and meet production targets
Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc in Agriculture, Engineering, or related field
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Sound understanding of labour laws and financial basics
- Skilled in team management, negotiation, and workplace training
