Back-end Developer (Hybrid – Lagos)

Job Description

A growing tech company is hiring a skilled Back-end Developer to join their team on a hybrid basis in Lagos. The ideal candidate must have solid experience building scalable backend systems and deploying them into production environments. This role requires deep knowledge of modern backend technologies and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain robust, high-performance backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and Prisma ORM
• Design and manage complex database schemas and write advanced queries using PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Develop and maintain APIs following best practices and microservices architecture
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain services using Docker and cloud deployment strategies

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience delivering backend systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ or SQS, and caching techniques
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Supertest
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
