Senior Civil Engineer (Oil & Gas) – Uyo

Job Type: Contractor (1-year renewable contract)
An upstream oil and gas company is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage civil and structural design activities on EPC projects. This role plays a vital part in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective engineering solutions while ensuring adherence to industry codes and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and review of civil and structural engineering designs, calculations, and construction drawings
- Ensure all designs meet project specifications, quality standards, and relevant international codes
- Prepare technical documentation including BOQs, cost estimates, and engineering reports
- Provide engineering support during procurement and construction phases
- Review contractor submissions and resolve technical queries arising during site execution
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage)
- 8–12 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, ideally within EPC oil & gas projects
- COREN certification or recognized equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or similar software
- In-depth knowledge of international engineering and design standards
