Job Description
Ama-Zuma Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee and drive the company’s daily operations, sales, and service strategy in alignment with the organization’s broader goals. The role involves providing operational leadership, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and ensuring efficient execution across business units. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Group Managing Director (GMD) and will play a key role in sustaining profitability and competitive advantage in the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily sales and service operations to achieve strategic objectives and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to implement long-term business strategies and operational plans.
- Build strong relationships with OEMs, clients, vendors, and contractors to improve service delivery and performance.
- Monitor business performance, ensure budget adherence, and implement cost control measures.
- Support investment decisions by managing feasibility studies and advising the GMD on strategic directions.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any relevant discipline; a Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a senior operations role within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record in business development, project management, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and financial performance metrics.
