Job Description
Merit Telecoms (NIG) Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive Field Engineer to support its technical operations across Delta State. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling field assignments, performing site inspections, and ensuring optimal service delivery. This position is suited for individuals with a strong technical background and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine site visits to install, inspect, maintain, and repair telecommunications infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize service downtime
- Provide technical reports and documentation after each site activity
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute field-related tasks efficiently
- Ensure all installations and maintenance work comply with safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- A relevant technical qualification or degree
- Experience in a field engineering or telecommunications role is an added advantage
- Good knowledge of telecom equipment, network configurations, and safety procedures
- Ability to travel frequently and work under minimal supervision
