Head of Finance at Ama-Zuma Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited
Job Description
Ama-Zuma Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited is seeking a highly experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial management functions of the company. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, compliance, reporting, and analysis across the group’s operations. The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in the downstream oil & gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated and individual financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure timely statutory filings including VAT, PAYE, and pension.
- Present staff salaries, operating expenses, and financial reports to the Group Managing Director for approval.
- Conduct profit and cost analysis, monthly bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate posting of transactions into Sage.
- Oversee internal control processes, manage relationships with auditors and tax consultants, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Requirements:
- HND, Bachelor’s Degree, or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sage accounting software
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience in the oil and gas downstream sector is an advantage
