Job Description

Seplat Energy Plc is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to support its upstream operations through advanced reservoir evaluation, simulation, and development planning. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery, driving strategic decision-making, and delivering long-term value through in-depth subsurface analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct reservoir fluid characterization, material balance, and simulation studies
• Perform volume forecasting, reserves assessment, and economic analysis
• Develop and revise Field Development Plans (FDPs)
• Optimize production through reservoir surveillance and depletion planning
• Evaluate workover and new drillwell opportunities to enhance field performance

Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second-Class Upper Division) in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering roles
• Demonstrated expertise in reservoir simulation, forecasting, and field development planning
• Proficiency in software such as Petrel, Eclipse, OFM, Prosper, and GAP
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is required
