Job Description
COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale is seeking a qualified Finance and Administrative Assistant to support its humanitarian operations in Yobe State, Nigeria. The role involves executing finance and administrative responsibilities in alignment with donor guidelines and COOPI’s internal procedures, contributing to efficient project implementation within the field office in Potiskum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions in compliance with donor and COOPI standards.
- Oversee cash and bank transactions, including daily reconciliation, cashbox safety, and monthly account closures.
- Process vendor payments and maintain orderly filing of payment vouchers and supporting documents.
- Support administrative tasks such as bank transactions, procurement coordination, and logistical support.
- Participate in budget forecasting, audits, and financial reporting in collaboration with the Project Administrator.
Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- NYSC discharge certificate and at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in NGOs or financial institutions.
- Solid understanding of cash management, logistics, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in English and MS Excel; working knowledge of Hausa is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in remote or resource-limited environments.
