Job Description
Mon Club International is recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Nutrition Officer to support its community-based nutrition and health interventions in Borno State. The role involves direct support to CMAM (Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition) programs, supervision of field teams, coordination with local partners, and contributing to public health efforts in humanitarian settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support CMAM teams at designated nutrition service sites.
- Ensure accurate and timely treatment of children and pregnant/lactating women following established nutritional guidelines.
- Organize and follow up on referrals to stabilization centers for severely ill children.
- Train and mentor Community Nutrition Workers (CNWs) and other field staff.
- Facilitate community-based nutritional promotion activities, including school and outreach programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in nutrition or community health programming.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri is an added advantage.
- Candidates from Magumeri or Nganzi are highly encouraged to apply.
