Job Description

Coinbox Limited, a financial services firm, is hiring an experienced Accountant to manage its daily financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax obligations. This role requires proficiency in financial reporting and an understanding of BDC (Bureau De Change) transaction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily forex transactions, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with CBN standards, Nigerian tax laws, and regulatory filings with FIRS, CAC, and other agencies
  • Record and monitor FX gains/losses and foreign currency positions, and manage liquidity for daily operations
  • Process payroll, handle statutory deductions, and support external audits with proper documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or BDC environment
  • Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is required
  • Strong knowledge of FX transaction accounting, Nigerian tax regulations, and experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks or Sage
  • Knowledge of Crypto and USDT is an added advantage
