Job Description
A global research initiative is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor for the Safe Schools Study in Rwanda. This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of violence and safety in Rwandan primary schools using a child-sensitive and ethically sound research approach. The role requires extensive field experience, especially in school environments, and a solid background in data-driven educational research.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations, ensuring effective coordination of data collection across selected primary schools.
- Supervise and support field researchers, ensuring compliance with ethical and child-safeguarding standards.
- Engage with school communities and stakeholders to facilitate smooth research implementation.
- Ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and timely submission of field reports.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as a Field Supervisor in education-related research, especially involving children and school safety.
- Proven experience in Rwandan primary schools. Include specific roles, school names, and project details.
- Background in research design, data collection, field team management, and community engagement.
- Minimum of a diploma in education, social sciences, sociology, psychology, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of child protection principles and ethical research practices.
