Job Description

A reputable Oil & Gas company in Lagos is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts / Inventory Officer to join its finance team. This role, managed by Swift Consulting, is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting, inventory management, and regulatory compliance, especially within the oil & gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports – monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Supervise inventory records and reconciliation in line with industry standards.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial and tax regulations in the oil & gas sector.
  • Lead and supervise accounting staff while ensuring effective internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (MBA/M.Sc. is an added advantage).
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years in the oil & gas industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP and financial software tools such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
