Senior Network Engineer at Layer3
Job Description
Layer3 is currently hiring a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage and support complex IP/MPLS networks for enterprise clients. This role involves network infrastructure design, troubleshooting, and automation with a focus on delivering secure and reliable services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering-level support for networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, SDN, VRRP/HSRP, and QoS.
- Design and implement network topologies for Core, Access, Metro, and Edge infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, system logs, and communication failures.
- Lead implementation and supervision of IP/MPLS services including configuration, testing, and handover.
- Develop automation tools and systems to enhance network performance and support digital transformation initiatives (Cloud, Big Data, IoT, SDN, etc.).
- Respond to RFQs and prepare technical proposals.
- Ensure stable and secure operation of LAN/WAN/WLAN networks across enterprise environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience managing and troubleshooting IP networks.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIP are mandatory.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, and Bluecoat technologies.
- Strong understanding of switching protocols, VLANs, IPsec/GRE tunnels, and structured network cabling.
- Ability to analyze complex network logs and identify potential issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
