Gardens Alive, a leading retail brand group, is seeking an experienced and data-driven Email Marketing Manager to lead strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns across multiple consumer brands. This role requires a strong background in email and lifecycle marketing, proficiency in SMS strategies, and a keen understanding of customer journeys. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-brand retail environment and balance creativity with analytical precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end email campaign execution, including segmentation, content planning, testing, deployment, and reporting.
  • Develop and oversee lifecycle marketing programs such as welcome series, abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Coordinate with merchandising, creative, and product teams to schedule and plan promotional sends.
  • Monitor performance metrics (open rates, click-throughs, conversions, revenue per email) and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Manage SMS marketing campaigns in alignment with email strategies, ensuring cohesive timing and messaging.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create visually compelling, responsive email templates that render effectively across devices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing, preferably within retail or ecommerce.
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Listrak, or similar ESPs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and extract actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with SMS marketing strategies and tools.
  • Basic HTML knowledge for email and understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in ecommerce for consumer products or seasonal goods.
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs and personalization tools.
  • Basic knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.
