Job Description

VALJES Properties is hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role involves ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance with specifications, and effective collaboration with project teams to deliver projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and prepare project budgets.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
  • Carry out site visits to monitor progress, costs, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare bills of quantities, bid documents, tender reports, and cost analyses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in quantity surveying.
  • Professional certification (MNIQS) is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, industry pricing, contracts, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Autodesk, CostX).

Preferred Qualifications

  • First degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience with multi-storey projects and contracts.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
