Job Description
Sustainable Family Healthcare Foundation (SFHF) is recruiting a Program Officer to support the Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) Project in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The role involves providing program and administrative support, coordinating activities with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth project implementation under the supervision of the DIDRR Project Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and logistical support for project activities, including training, workshops, and community outreach programs.
- Maintain project calendars, activity plans, and reports, ensuring alignment with the project results framework.
- Support community engagement, including working with volunteers, Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs), and Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA) groups.
- Facilitate livelihood initiatives, hygiene promotion, WASH committee training, and distribution of WASH kits to beneficiaries.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for submission to the project coordinator and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster Management, Agricultural Extension, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in humanitarian programs, particularly in WASH, Agriculture, Livelihoods, and Disaster Risk Reduction.
- Experience with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), NGOs, and INGOs is essential.
- Strong skills in report writing, coordination, time management, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Hausa is an added advantage.
- Ability to travel and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
