Job Description

Dangote Group, a leading and diversified conglomerate in Nigeria, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Head, Internal Audit at Dangote Cement Plc. This position offers an opportunity to provide strategic leadership in internal audit, strengthen compliance, and enhance operational excellence within one of Africa’s most reputable organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of internal auditors to ensure effective audit processes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on audit findings.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance systems.
• Present audit reports and findings to the Audit Committee and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of Associate Membership in at least one professional body: Certified Institute of Auditors (CIA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), or Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
• At least 20 years of financial and operational audit experience, with 5 years in an executive leadership role.
• Previous Big 4, international corporate, or global organization experience is preferred.
• Broad industry exposure, ideally in sectors such as Manufacturing or Energy.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, accounting standards, fraud indicators, and SAP.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
