Job Description
The Head of Credit Application Review is responsible for leading the credit administration function, ensuring accurate loan processing, complete documentation, and strict adherence to credit policies and regulatory standards. The role involves providing independent reviews of credit exposures to enforce discipline, reduce risks, and support the integrity of lending operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee loan documentation, disbursement, and collateral management processes.
- Ensure compliance of all credit facilities with approved terms, internal policies, and external regulations.
- Manage the perfection, custody, and renewal of collateral and security instruments.
- Conduct independent credit reviews to identify gaps, policy breaches, and operational risks.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management on credit administration performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Professional certification such as ACIB, ACCA, CFA, or FRM is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in credit administration or review within banking or fintech, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, regulatory frameworks, and operational risk management.
