Head of Accounts
Job Description
A reputable organization in the Media & Entertainment industry is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head of Accounts to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial efficiency within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and monthly/annual accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Establish and maintain effective accounting control procedures.
- Advise on business operations, including revenue trends, expenditure, and financial commitments.
- Oversee statutory obligations such as pension schedules, PAYE, and withholding tax.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Membership of ICAN or ACCA is mandatory.
- Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in financial systems management, reporting, auditing, and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software; knowledge of SAGE is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in financial advisory.
