Job Description

A leading electricity distribution company in Nigeria is seeking a highly skilled and proactive DT Cluster Performance Officer to manage and optimize distribution transformers (DTs). The role involves ensuring meter validation, energy accounting, revenue protection, customer engagement, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This is an opportunity for individuals with strong technical and analytical abilities to contribute to energy efficiency and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct electricity disconnection and reconnection while ensuring safety standards are met.
• Validate and monitor metering assets, ensuring accuracy, tamper prevention, and proper functionality.
• Monitor DT energy performance, prepare reports on key performance metrics, and recommend corrective measures.
• Engage customers on proper meter usage, energy efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Detect and report cases of energy theft, illegal connections, and tampering.
• Supervise technicians or contractors to ensure adherence to operational and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in meter management, energy loss reduction, or customer validation.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s electricity distribution sector and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis/reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to safely work at heights during field inspections.
