Job Description

A leading management consulting firm in Nigeria is hiring an experienced FTTH Planning Engineer to join its telecommunications team in Lagos and Abuja. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in optical fiber project survey, design, and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design FTTH networks, including ODN network structures.
  • Conduct high-level surveys and provide customized solutions for fiber deployment.
  • Work with Metro network equipment and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize design tools such as Google Earth, QGIS, and CAD for HLD and LLD.
  • Support installation and specification of passive optic equipment including ODF, Splitter, Fiber Distribution Box, and related components.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in optical fiber project survey and FTTH solution design.
  • Knowledge of FTTH network structures, passive optic equipment, and installation processes.
  • Familiarity with FTTH high-value area identification and service insight.
  • Basic knowledge of fusion splicing, patch cords, and fiber testing.
