Job Description

eHealth Africa is seeking a skilled Associate Manager, Procurement and Asset Management to support efficient, transparent, and compliant acquisition of goods and services vital to program success. The role focuses on managing procurement workflows, maintaining supplier relations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in line with donor and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement requests, technical specifications, and vendor sourcing risks to ensure compliance with eHealth Africa policies and donor guidelines.
  • Prepare and manage tender documentation, bid evaluations, and sourcing strategies for timely and compliant procurement.
  • Liaise with project teams to clarify requirements, align sourcing plans, and provide updates throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, maintain strong supplier relationships, and track market trends to enhance value.
  • Oversee procurement pipelines using ERP systems, ensuring timely processing, delivery tracking, and accurate reporting.
  • Manage contract performance, resolve delivery or invoice discrepancies, and ensure compliance with donor-specific procurement requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in an NGO or donor-funded environment.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
