Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Packing Plant Operations at Dangote Cement Plc. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all cement packing activities. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing operational processes, improving production output, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations within the packing plant to ensure optimal productivity and compliance with quality requirements.

Design and implement effective packing procedures to reduce downtime and increase production efficiency.

Execute approved packing plant plans to achieve set production targets.

Ensure all packing activities follow established policies, operational guidelines, and safety standards.

Obtain necessary authorization from the Production and Quality Control/Assurance teams before starting packing and loading operations.

Direct and supervise shift teams to ensure seamless plant operations and achievement of daily targets.

Monitor and coordinate timely maintenance of packing equipment.

Support and guide machine operators to ensure safe and efficient use of all machinery.

Resolve operational issues promptly to avoid delays in cement dispatch and prevent losses or equipment damage.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the packing area.

Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members.

Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Head of the Packing Plant.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in manufacturing operations.

At least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial position within a packing plant, preferably in the cement industry.
Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.

Excellent knowledge of packing machinery and operational processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in production, equipment management, and inventory-related software.
