Job Description
The Dispatch Officer is responsible for coordinating and documenting dispatch operations, including the preparation of waybills and invoices for loaded trucks.
This role ensures accurate stock movement records, compliance with operational standards, and seamless coordination between depot operations, sales, and logistics teams.
 Responsibilities
- Prepare and process waybills, invoices, and dispatch documentation for loaded trucks
- Supervise ullagers and ensure compliance with approved service level standards
- Collect loading tickets from ullagers or customers and accurately record dispatch details
- Maintain an up-to-date database of all depot dispatch activities
- Verify accuracy of tickets, invoices, and dispatch records
- Reconcile daily loading figures with operations and sales teams
- Analyze ullage figures using approved calibration charts and report discrepancies
- Facilitate ticketing, approval of load orders, and final dispatch authorization
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Sciences, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in operations within the Oil & Gas industry
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Good analytical and reconciliation abilities
- Effective communication and coordination skills
