Job Description
An organization operating within agriculture, rural finance, and public-sector engagement is seeking a skilled Technical Assistant to support policy analysis, government relations, and strategic stakeholder coordination. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong policy research capabilities and a solid understanding of government processes and interagency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and interpret policies, regulations, and government directives affecting agriculture, rural finance, and related banking or intervention programs
- Monitor and synthesize emerging policy issues, executive decisions, and legislative developments with implications for strategy and operations
- Support structured engagement with federal, state, and local government institutions through briefings, consultations, and coordinated outreach
- Prepare policy notes, analytical briefs, reports, and stakeholder communications for strategic meetings and decision-making
- Represent the Directorate at official functions, policy dialogues, interagency meetings, and stakeholder forums
- Coordinate strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement activities, grants, and intervention monitoring while providing technical and administrative support across functions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Law, or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is an added advantage
- Strong policy analysis, research, and technical documentation skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of governmental processes, public-sector coordination, and multi-stakeholder engagement frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited for senior and high-level audiences
- Proven ability to manage complex workloads with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
