Job Description

Pathway Advisors Limited is seeking a highly driven Senior Analyst to support the origination and execution of investment banking transactions. The role involves hands-on participation in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, valuation, deal structuring, and financial advisory mandates. Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and execute Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and financial advisory transactions
  • Manage end-to-end deal execution including due diligence, documentation, regulatory filings, and transaction closing
  • Prepare robust financial models, forecasts, valuations, and investment memoranda
  • Structure transactions in line with regulatory requirements of SEC, NGX, FMDQ Exchange, and other relevant bodies
  • Coordinate deficiency-free submission of transaction documents to regulators
  • Provide rating advisory services, including company evaluation and engagement with rating agencies
  • Identify and manage deal-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk frameworks
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted financial advisor
  • Source and originate new deal opportunities through market research, networking, and pitch development
  • Identify and engage potential investors including PFAs, asset managers, insurance companies, trustees, HNIs, and other qualified institutional investors
  • Allocate tasks to team members, manage deliverables, and ensure timely execution of projects
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development support to junior team members

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Postgraduate and/or professional qualifications such as MBA, CFA, MSc Finance, ACA, or ACCA are required
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in investment banking or financial services
  • Proven experience in equity, debt capital markets, and M&A transaction execution and origination
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of SEC and NGX transaction approval processes
  • Experience raising capital through long-term investment instruments including debt and equity
  • Strong client engagement, communication, and business development skills
  • Experience with any of the Big 4 firms is an added advantage
