Job Description

A full-time, on-site opportunity is available in Abuja for a Business Development & Proposal Officer. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing high-quality proposals, and building strategic relationships with clients and partners. The position requires strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business and partnership opportunities
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies
  • Prepare, review, and submit detailed technical and commercial proposals
  • Develop business development strategies to improve operational performance and revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external use
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment between proposals and business objectives

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong new business development skills with a proven ability to identify and close opportunities
  • Well-developed analytical and finance skills for evaluating markets, proposals, and investments
  • Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience; research or multinational experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in international trade, investment, or development-focused organizations is a strong advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications is an added advantage
