Job Description
An established global business providing sustainable mobility, connectivity, and technology solutions is seeking a Commercial Analysis Manager to support data-driven decision-making and commercial performance. This role is critical to translating complex data into strategic insights, leading a team of analysts, and supporting forecasting, budgeting, and commercial initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of commercial analysts, improving the quality, accuracy, and delivery of reports and analytical projects
- Prepare budgets, reforecasts, and variance analysis to support business planning and performance monitoring
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators
- Produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders using financial and operational data
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and risks
- Monitor the effectiveness of commercial strategies and recommend data-backed improvements
- Lead ad-hoc technical analysis and special projects addressing specific business challenges
- Challenge assumptions and data sources to ensure insights are accurate, consistent, and commercially relevant
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in commercial and financial analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a related role
- Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability
- Experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience delivering insights that influence commercial and strategic decisions
- Background in retail or e-commerce is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market analysis, and competitive positioning
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment
