DACH Marketing Manager – Ahrefs

Job Description

Ahrefs is expanding rapidly within German-speaking markets and is hiring a DACH Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This newly created role focuses on building brand awareness, driving demand, and educating the local market on SEO, AI Search, and AI-driven marketing solutions. The position reports directly to the Head of International Marketing and works closely with a global marketing team while operating hands-on in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute marketing initiatives across the DACH region with a hands-on approach across the full marketing mix
  • Develop and implement localized marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition
  • Manage and localize content for German-speaking audiences, including blog articles, social media content, email campaigns, and digital assets
  • Oversee all DACH-focused marketing activities such as content creation, partnerships, public relations, and community initiatives
  • Educate the German-speaking market on SEO, AI Search, and AI marketing best practices, positioning Ahrefs as a thought leader
  • Plan and participate in marketing events, conferences, networking sessions, and customer meetups to build relationships and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics to continuously optimize marketing efforts
  • Report marketing performance and insights to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within SaaS or technology companies
  • Strong experience localizing and adapting content from English-speaking markets to German-speaking audiences
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the German market for global brands
  • Solid understanding of the Ahrefs product and its application within the DACH market
  • Background in SEO is a strong advantage
  • Ability to deliver quick wins while building a scalable mid- to long-term marketing strategy as an initial one-person team
  • Excellent content creation and digital marketing skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional and international teams
  • Native-level German and fluent English, both written and spoken
