Job Description
An FMCG company in Ikeja, Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented Account Officer to support day-to-day finance and accounting operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in accounting and a good understanding of FMCG processes such as pricing, distribution, inventory movement, and sales reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and carry out routine account reconciliations
- Prepare invoices, post transactions, and process payments promptly
- Track receivables, payables, and inventory-related financial reports
- Prepare cashbooks, bank reconciliation statements, and expense reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (FMCG experience is an added advantage)
- Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
