Job Description
Turnitin, a global education technology company, is seeking a Manager, Content Strategy to lead the development and execution of an integrated content strategy across all marketing and communication channels. This role supports brand positioning, communications, and demand generation by delivering consistent, compelling messaging to customers, partners, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated content strategy that aligns brand, communications, and demand generation goals across all channels
- Partner with brand, communications, and marketing teams to plan and execute cohesive content calendars that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth
- Lead content planning for major PR initiatives, brand campaigns, product launches, thought leadership programs, and executive visibility efforts
- Establish content governance frameworks, quality standards, and review processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across teams
- Drive cross-functional content intake and prioritization, balancing strategic initiatives, campaign timelines, and business priorities
- Collaborate with demand generation teams to optimize web, blog, and nurture content for SEO, performance, and conversion while maintaining brand voice
- Work closely with creative teams to translate content strategy into high-quality visual assets such as videos, graphics, and social content
- Track, analyze, and report on content performance, using insights to recommend improvements and next steps
- Use audience insights, analytics, and competitive research to continuously refine and strengthen content strategy
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven ability to craft and communicate narratives that connect brand, product, and customer value across multiple channels
- Strong writing, editing, and messaging skills with attention to detail and brand consistency
- Experience collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Solid understanding of full-funnel marketing, SEO, PR, and brand campaign development
- Hands-on experience with social media, either as an individual contributor or through team leadership
- Ability to build and manage workflows, content governance systems, and prioritization models
- Comfortable using analytics, SEO data, and market research to inform strategy and measure performance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance long-term brand building and short-term business needs
- People management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- 7–10 years of relevant professional experience
