Job Description
St. Ives Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the administrative and operational management of its healthcare facility in Lagos. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a solid understanding of hospital workflows to ensure efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth. The Practice Manager will play a key role in improving patient experience, driving revenue, and supporting the hospital’s long-term operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational management of the hospital or clinical practice
- Coordinate effectively between clinical, administrative, and support teams to ensure smooth operations
- Implement, monitor, and improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows
- Manage patient flow, service delivery standards, and overall patient experience
- Monitor operational costs, budgets, and efficient use of hospital resources
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies
- Supervise facility operations, maintenance activities, and vendor relationships
- Handle patient feedback and complaints professionally and oversee service recovery processes
- Support business development initiatives and operational growth strategies
- Prepare and submit regular operational, financial, and performance reports to managemen
- Ensure accurate documentation, data management, and record-keeping across all departments
- Drive business growth initiatives aimed at increasing hospital revenue and service efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in hospital or clinical practice management
- Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills
- Good understanding of hospital operations, billing systems, and patient service delivery
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
